Biography

Rob Tieben studies the design of interactive systems that elicit playful behavior. He works both at the Eindhoven University of Technology, department of Industrial Design, and at the Fontys School for ICT, department Serious Games. In his PhD research project, he intends to persuade teenagers to engage in active playful activities that are explorative, enjoyable and inherently social. Tieben enrolled in this research program after finishing his M.Sc. in Industrial Design.
Tieben translates his vision into prototypes, proof-of-concepts and events, such as MakeMeMove, Curious-action and TouchMeDare.
